On Tuesday December 2, we enjoyed a tour of the Underground Bullet Factory in Rechovot where we learned about the dedicated pioneers who ran a clandestine operation to make bullets for the Haganna during the British Mandate. From there, we traveled to Tel Aviv where we enjoyed a picnic lunch as well as bike riding, paddle boating and an indoor trampoline park. We then visited the main firefighter station in Tel Aviv. To show our hakarat hatov, each student prepared gifts to bring our exhausted heroes to express our gratitude. Many baked cakes and cookies, some wrote cards and one students wrote a beautiful poem in Hebrew. One firefighter was so touched that he was moved to tears. Everyone was moved and inspired from the experience.
