This Monday, Tiferet students left the school building for a jam-packed day of important events. First we visited Beit Bayer, a senior citizen’s home in Yerushalayim for the opportunity to bring Simcha to the residents there. We then made a stop at the Nefesh B’Nefesh offices, where we heard a presentation about the work they do promoting and assisting in Aliyah. Finally, our group split up into two locations – one group went to Yad Vashem, where we were able to take in and learn a tremendous amount about the Shoah. The other group went to the Begin Center, where they learned about the life and history of Menachem Begin, one of Israel’s most significant Prime Ministers.
