At the end of the second week of Tiferet, Tiferet students went on a tiyul up North for our first taste of the many experiences with Eretz Yisrael that we will have over the course of the year.
We began with a visit to Migdal Ohr in Migdal HaEmek where we baked and fulfilled the Mitzvah of Hafrashat Challah with young girls in their Special Need Program. After stopping for lunch in Zichron Yaakov and learning about Sarah Aharonson and the origins of the Mossad, we travelled to Caesarea to the Chana Senesh Museum. It was inspiring to learn about these two great Zionist heroines. We spent the night at an Inn off of the beach in Caesarea.
On the second day, we had a lot of fun at X Park in Haifa and then a picnic lunch in the beautiful Park Nesher. After riding the cable car down Har HaCarmel, we visited the Cave of Eliyahu HaNavi for an inspirational Mincha.
